A national figure in the Democratic Party has endorsed a Culpeper candidate for Virginia House of Delegates.
Former presidential candidate and Vermont Gov. Howard Dean Tuesday announced his support for Democrat Traci Dippert in her bid for the Virginia House of Delegates 30th District seat currently held by Del. Ed Scott, R-Madison.
Dean, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, made the announcement through his national organization, Democracy for America.
“DFA is proud to endorse Traci Dippert … She has stepped up to run against incumbent Ed Scott, whose dismal voting record has taken the state backward instead of forward,” Dean said in a release from Dippert for Delegate. “Traci will bring common sense back to the state legislature. Imagine a Virginia where everyone can find a job, a Virginia where we keep our money in the local economy, and every teacher has all the necessary resources to prepare students to enter our economy. That’s Traci Dippert’s vision for Virginia.”
