LOCAL DEMOCRAT ANNOUNCES BID FOR ED SCOTT’S DELEGATE SEAT
Local Democrat Stewart Risher, 54, a retired Air Traffic Controller of Rixeyville, VA is proud to announce his candidacy for the 30th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. He and his wife Tanya, an ER/Forensic nurse, have resided with their son Sean in Culpeper since 2003. Sean, a Marine Corps Reservist, is currently a student at the West Virginia University of Technology
Risher, retired after 25 years with the FAA is a small business owner living on a farm in Culpeper County. He studied Economics and Business Management at Youngstown State University in Ohio.
He is running for the seat being vacated by Del. Ed Scott because,” the people of the 30th district deserve a moderate and reasonable voice in Richmond. Extremism does not serve anyone well,” said Risher. “I look forward to meeting and speaking with people across the district about the future of Virginia.” The economy, jobs, and education will headline his platform.
