Regarding the Aug. 14 Metro article “McDonnell: All ‘tangible’ gifts returned to supporter”:
Rich Galen, a spokesman for Gov. Robert F. McDonnell’s legal team, contrasted the Republican governor’s unblemished record of public service with the record of businessman Jonnie R. Williams Sr., who he said “has been in trouble with government entities since the earliest days of his business career.” If Mr. Williams is such an unsavory character, why have Mr. McDonnell and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II spent so much time consorting with him?
