Dr. Ralph Northam is the one candidate who has proven he can win tough, competitive races. After graduating from Virginia Military Institute and Eastern Virginia Medical School, he served eight years on active duty in the U.S. Army.  He is a practicing pediatric neurologist and was elected to the Virginia Senate in 2007.  In office, he has had numerous major legislative accomplishments, and has been a tireless advocate for women’s health, public education, economic development, and solutions to Virginia’s transportation problems.
