MCDC Chair Annette Hyde has been elected vice chair for community engagement with the Virginia Rural Caucus. The caucus helps to elect Democratic candidates in rural areas by providing expertise and training for rural campaign activities. As vice chair, Hyde will identify and establish dialog with groups and communities of interest existing among other caucuses of the Democratic Party of Virginia and among emerging ethnic and/or minority communities, young voters, recently naturalized citizens, and minorities. MCDC Executive Committee member Charley Landgraf is also volunteering with the Rural Caucus; he serves on the Bylaws Committee.
