States in multiple time zones may close all their polls simultaneously, or they may close at the same local time. For example, all polls in Tennessee close at the same time which is 8PM Eastern, 7PM Central. On the other hand, in neighboring Kentucky the polls close at 6PM local time, which means polls in the Central Time Zone are open an hour later than those in the Eastern Time Zone. Note that Election Day court rulings and/or local rules may alter these schedules; do NOT rely on this information to decide when to vote.
